抵达San Fran的那一晚，及时租到了一辆脚踏车为期24小时。那是一个临时的决定，还没到达时完全没有计划该如何在这里走走。Check in 后在附近地方散步时看到好几件租脚踏车店才有这个念头。。。
在san fran只有一天。隔天一大清早，毫无浪费时间，开始一段往金门大桥的难忘旅程，从此爱上San Francisco。。。。。。
The night i arrived in San Fran, managed to rent a bike for 24 hours, in time before the shop was closed. It was a spontaneous decision. didn't think of cycling at all until came across some bike rental shops here.
Then next early morning, without wasting any time, coupled with a map, embarked on a ride to the famous suspension bridge that made me love San Francisco.... |
| | 经过了Vegas机场的繁忙及人山人海，终于正在途中飞往圣弗朗西斯科。在那里，只给自己一天的时间观光这城市，之后就得参与一个7天的独特旅行巴士，沿着加州的海岸旅游。一踏入san fran，就喜欢上了这个地方。一天在这里，一点都不够。。。。
After craziness at Las Vegas airport, i'm on delivery to San Francisco, where i gave myself just one day to see the city before i joined a unique bus tour to tour the coast of the Californian state. One day in San Fran is not enough at all, as i later found out..... |
| | 在vegas的青年旅馆过夜当晚睡不着，因为同房的那几位旅客三更半夜在收拾行李准备check out。结果早上起来精神很不好。在等待大峡谷旅行团的巴士，越等越焦急，因为巴士迟迟都不来，而且这个旅馆看来只有我一个人在等。但后来，还是来了。又疲倦又紧张的一个早上，三小时后到达目的地时，好像睡眠过多的样子，很兴奋的一边走一边欣赏大峡谷之美。。。。。。
The night stay at the hostel in vegas was a sleepless one. The people same room were busy packing for check out, keeping me awake. And then, in the morning, the tour bus to grand canyon has been super late to pick me up, .....or have i missed it..? Making myself more anxious is the fact that, i was the only one for this hostel waiting for it. Eventually, the bus came. A morning full of anxiety and sleepiness, was a complete contrast when finally arrived at the destination after 3 hours in the bus. was filled with excitement as i hiked along the edge, overlooking the natural wonder. This is one of the favourite days in those 4-week....

| | 拖拉又重又多的行李之后，终于来到好莱坞巴士站，等待搭前往拉斯维加斯的巴士，车程6小时。第一次在美国乘搭长途公共巴士，有好多事情都不知要怎样做，也让自己担心行李的安全，及巴士服务的可靠性。但还好，还是终于到达目的地。
来vegas的主要目的，不是要看vegas，而是因为美国大峡谷而来。大峡谷之旅后，会参与一个与众不同的旅行团，从SanFran开回到vegas。因此，要看vegas的话，还有第二次机会。
来到拉斯维加斯不能若无其事的一件事是那超热的天气。到了晚上，还是那么热，真奇怪这里的人怎么还穿衣。。。哈哈！
这些是去vegas途中拍的，以及前往大峡谷前所拍到vegas的一些繁华画面。
Afterr dragging loads of luggage up to the hollywood bus station, waited quite a few hours before finally embarked on a 6-hour bus ride to Las Vegas in nevada state. first time boarding a public, long-haul bus in US gave me moments of not knowing where or when to do what, and some degree of insecurity and uneasiness of my luggage's safety and the reliability of this bus service.
anyway, the main reason to vegas is too see Grand Canyon, not vegas itself. At least not yet. After Grand Canyon, would join an adventure tour that starts from San Fran and ends in vegas, which means i will come back to vegas twice, and have a real look at it if i want during the 2nd time.
anyway, one thing i cant ignore in vegas as soon as i arrived, is the HOT temperature. At night, it is still so hot, that shirtless should be the fashion here.

| | 只在Los Angeles短短几天，在徘徊到底要去Six Flag（超刺激的主题乐园），Universal Studio还是Disneyland。 最终决定选择从小最常听见及看见它名字的地方。
超大的地方，实在是走到累！过山车一点都不刺激，有点遗憾：-P
迪斯尼犹如一个小孩的天堂。。。或许现在已经长大了，来到这个地方已感觉不到那种奇妙和兴奋。但首次来到这里，依然值得。。。
A whole-day visit to Disneyland in Anaheim, Los Angeles. I was choosing between going to Six Flags (theme park with super scary roller-coasters), Universal Studios, and Disneyland, cos obviously i had no time for all. So i decided to go to the place i heard since i was the youngest.
The big park made me walk A LOT, play alot, and therefore eat and drink a lot too. Disneyland, a paradise and dream come true for a child, but i guess maybe bcos im a grown-up now, that to me Disneyland has lost its magic and wonder. But, still worth it for first visit... |
| | After in the wild for four months, i thought i wouldn't hike. Looks like it's a short-lived assumption. The first morning i signed up for a trip up the Hollywood hill. Together with a bunch of hostel tourists we boarded a bus before starting our 2-hour walk up towards the sign. It was exhausting and time consuming. I thought i was just a morning event. But, it's still worth it. It's the sign what....! |

As soon as got out of the subway station, didn't expect to be right AT the street. There, dragging luggage while looking at all the glamor and prosperity that is the Hollywood Boulevard....
Stayed there for 4D3N. USA Hostel is the place where finally found out the title of a song that i like very much. It's Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve. The Hostel is unique, cozy, creative, young themed, and everything.... Since it's located right at the street, got to walk quite a few times during my stay. As walked along Hollywood Boulevard, that particular song always played in my head. Now when i listen, i'm 'there' again!
On the first day, besides walking along THE street, didn't really do anything else. Just watching movies online in my 6-bed dorm, letting myself enjoying (really really) fast internet after 4 months of almost-no-connection in Yellowstone.

Grand Geyser's eruption is not easily predicted. It may erupt within 5 hours or so of the predicted time, which means sometimes we have to wait pretty long to get to see it go off. On the eve of my departure, waited patiently in front of it with 50+ other tourists, and before I gave up, it went off.
Watching Grand Geyser concludes my eventful and super hectic but simple life in Yellowstone National Park, where i spent memorable 4 months in my work and travel student work exchange program.........

I knew it'd take a long time to post everything about my life in Yellowstone, but i knew I have to do it, mainly for myself, not anyone. I wanted to 'build' a memory lane for myself. I want to come here and walk down this memory lane, and remember very clearly the details, and the tastes of possibly every experience - people, places, events, work, habits... that I encountered in Yellowstone. Why? Because a period in life that is so beautiful, simple and perfect, rarely comes too often. Every photo album, every long article, with all the details and descriptions, will reconnect and relive those moments, once again. Now, the 'lane' is almost complete. This is the last part......

Last day in Yellowstone,
seeing Grand Geyser go off for the first time
Time extends in Yellowstone. Summer is short. In just four months, got to see the almost full circle of four seasons. In just four months, changed room numerous times, having waves of problems adapting to roommates of the unusual kinds. Anto was forth roommate, seventh if including university years, and my best one. In those four months, collectively worked four jobs (room attendent, porter, busser, dish washer), and had never worked so hard in life. In just four months, for the first time, cherished, and made full use of every day (if only i could be like this too in my normal daily life). There was hardly one day that I was not really tired, either bcos of work, or going outdoor. Though staying here for only four months, it feels like a year.
On August 24th, said goodbye to as many people as i could, leaving behind Erin, Robert, chinese friends, and everybody else. Nate, one of the bell guys, drove me straight to Bozeman airport. Barry, the housekeeping manager, sums up pretty good, "Saying goodbye is a part of the experience in Yellowstone". Indeed, it was an essential part.
Now, i can stop forcing myself not to forget my Yellowstone experiences in my head, bcos it's all out now.
My task is done. Now, Im ready to stroll....

Finally! finally! finally! my roommate Anto got a chance to join us! He always missed out, which i always felt sorry about! Anto, Erin & I had a memorable hike, a hike that was the longest (11miles /18km total), and also my very last.....
